Member Code of Conduct

FBL is a leadership community built on trust, responsibility, and respect for time. This is a light but enforceable code of conduct for all members. If you’re in, you’re aligned.

1. Culture & Respect

FBL is built on trust. Members protect the room.

I will treat members with respect and professionalism at all times.

I will respect time—show up prepared, be present, and avoid dominating conversations.

I will keep discussions constructive and will not create division or drama.

2. No Pitch Culture

FBL is not a sales floor. Relationships come first.

I will not use FBL gatherings as pitch sessions or sales funnels.

I will not pressure members for referrals, deals, or introductions.

I understand FBL does not guarantee referrals or ROI.

3. Confidentiality & Trust

What’s shared in the room stays protected.

I will not share private member information or conversations without permission.

I will not use the membership list for solicitation, spam, or mass outreach.

If an issue arises, I will address it directly or escalate appropriately instead of gossiping.

4. Nonprofit & Public Boundaries

FBL protects its standing and its members by staying out of politics and public controversy.

I will not use FBL to support or oppose political candidates or campaigns.

I will not represent FBL as endorsing political positions or lobbying activity.

I will avoid public behavior under the FBL name that damages the organization’s credibility.

5. Ethics & Conflicts

Members act with integrity and avoid exploitation.

I will not use my membership position to exploit, manipulate, or mislead others.

If a conflict of interest arises related to FBL decisions or leadership, I will disclose it to chapter leadership.

6. Enforcement

FBL protects the room. Alignment matters.

I understand violations may result in corrective action, suspension, or removal from events or membership.

I agree to follow chapter leadership direction related to culture, conduct, and compliance.

Bottom line: FBL is a leadership standard. If it’s not aligned, it doesn’t belong in the room.
